20:00: Dinner at Manresa

 

Monday, 22nd May 2006, Spain, 22nd and 23rd May 2006

9:45: A member of the Spanish QM-team at Lacetània College (Mr. Adel Sayed) gives a power point presentation on the educational system in Catalonia and the host school in Manresa. After that, he shows a DVD that presents the Spanish host school, the Institut d’Educació Lacetània. Every participant receives a copy of the DVD.

11:10: The QM manager of the Department of Education of Catalonia (Mr. Joan Josep Pavón) presents the QM system in Catalonia in general and its application at the school Lacetània in particular.

12:30: A tour of the school premises gives a practical insight of the vocational and general education in Catalonia.

15:00: A tour of Manresa and its cathedral is rounded off with a reception at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Manresa where the person in charge informs the guests about the activities of the organisation and gives a survey of the economic situation of Catalonia.

9:30: The German team start off giving a presentation of their methods and instruments of evaluating the quality of classes, educational processes and lessons.

After each item there is a short break and room for discussion or questions.

The Polish, Finish and Danish delegations follow and give a survey of their proceedings, i. e. criteria, instruments, measures.

Their power point presentations will be made available to all participants via the homepage of the Kaufm. Schule Göppingen.

After a period of questions and discussion the participants agree on the further schedule of the project:

 

  • On 26 Sept 2006 there will be a chat among the participants involved as to details concerning the meeting in Lublin, Poland;

 

  • The next meeting of the Comenius group will take place in Lublin on 11th and  12th October 2006.The dates of arrival and departure of the individual delegations will vary.

 

  •  The topic of the next meeting in Lublin will revolve around the issue “The Communication with the partners related to education”.

 

Mr. Mayländer, the person responsible for the Comenius project, then invites the participants to give a feedback of the first year of this European cooperation. All the participants have been highly satisfied with the course of events and the results so far. For all of them it has been an enrichment to learn something about the educational system of different countries, to compare procedures and to benefit from the others’ experience.

At two o’clock in the afternoon a successful and informative working day at Lacetània College goes on to experience another cultural highlight – the excursion to the holy mountain of Montserrat.
